USCG Approved First aid classes

Finns West is now offering USCG approved First Aid / CPR / AED classes for INITIAL or RENEWAL of Merchant Mariner Captain License.

As USCG Captains ourselves, we understand how confusing the requirements are for the initial or renewal of your Captain's License and the First Aid / CPR certification requirements.

Not all First Aid/CPR certifications are accepted by the USCG.

We have worked all of that out and offer a First Aid with CPR AED class that is appoved and accepted by the USCG wether for your initial or renewal license requirement.

The class is the AHA HEARTSAVER FIRST AID with CPR AED.

Participants will receive the USCG require and approved   

Heartsaver First Aid with CPR AED (AMERHA-216) Certificate of Completion per:

The US Coast Guard (USCG) has approved the AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course as meeting the USCG Elementary First Aid* training requirements of:

• Elementary First Aid per STCW Code Table A-VI/1-3;
• Elementary First Aid per 46 CFR 11.302(a)(3) and 46 CFR 12.602(a)(3);
• The first aid and CPR training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(i)(1)

· -The standards of the American National Red Cross Standard First Aid or American National Red Cross Community First Aid & Safety courses and satisfies the First Aid training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(i)(1)(ii) for a merchant mariner credential; AND

-The standards of the American National Red Cross or the American Heart Association for CPR courses and satisfies the CPR training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(i)(2)(iii) for a merchant mariner credential; AND 

·- All elective sections of Heartsaver First Aid With CPR AED (AMERHA-216) must be given.
